Quilter Sarah Payne has teamed up with TV channel, Create and Craft TV and mental health charity, MIND for a unique TV quilting event taking place on Saturday 1st December at 9pm.
This is a workshop like you have never seen before! Every year Sarah teaches an all night quilt along workshop, and this year it is even better – it is going to be televised! There are a number of ways you can get involved with this unique, crafty event:
- invite a couple of sewing friends around to your house that evening, and stitch along while you watch on Sky, Virgin, Facebook or www.createandcraft.com
- email in to tell us how much you are loving it!
- download the free pattern here: https://www.createandcraft.com/gb/mind , perhaps leave a donation, and make the project before the show – and then send in pictures.
This is basically a 12 hour workshop with Sarah as your guide – and very limited interruptions from presenters. This fun night is perfect for beginners or just those who want to sew through the night!
Sarah will help you sew a 36 inch square quilt and will be there for the whole 12 hours to hold any nervous hands!
Patterns can be downloaded for free at www.createandcraft.com/gb/MIND
You can leave a donation to help MIND continue its vital work. MIND provides immediate support through its information services, helplines and network of local services across England and Wales. It raises public awareness and promotes understanding, so that anyone who experiences a mental health problem doesn’t have to deal with prejudice and discrimination, too.
