This weekend sees the Festival of Quilts return to the NEC Birmingham – will we see you there?
The Festival of Quilts takes place between the 7th and 10th of August at the NEC Birmingham, and among the very many reasons to go, the Quilt Now team have got a limited edition tote bag, which you can get your hands on by taking out one of our subscription offers, or by spending £10 on magazines at the stand.
And while you may be only coming to claim your ‘GO FORTH AND QUILT’ bag, there’s plenty of wonderful things happening at this year’s event to round out your trip. As always, there’ll be plenty of fabric and tool shopping from the best exhibitors in the UK and beyond, so we anticpate leaving the show laden with all sorts of lovely things.
There’s also the quilt gallery, featuring the work of textile artists such as Ann Johnston, Susan Shie and Alicia Merrett alongside lectures from leading names in the world of quilting. We’ll also be signing up for some of the shows taster sessions, which include learning to work a long-arm quilting machine – like the sort we featured in issue 1 of the magazine.
Tickets for the Festival Of Quilts can be purchased on the door for £16 for an adult ticket.
